Poarch Creeks propose electronic gaming at Florida racetracks

The Poarch Band of Creek Indians want to bring electronic gaming machines to racetracks in Florida.

The tribe plans to add as many as 8,400 Class II machines to three facilities in north Florida. The proposal would require state legislative approval.

The tribe is headquartered in Atmore, Alabama, but owns businesses and land in Florida. Many tribal members also live in Florida.
