The Maryland Video Lottery Facility Location Commission will be holding three public hearings next month as part of the process for a new gaming facility just outside of Washington, D.C. Last November, voters authorized an expansion of gaming in the state. A new facility was approved in Prince George's County and three companies are in the running. A big bid is coming from MGM Resorts International. The company wants to build a $1 billion casino at the National Harbor, a hotel, convention and entertainment venue that's only about a 15-minute drive from the U.S. Capitol. The two other sites that are in the running are only slightly further south from National Harbor. Get the Story:
