Auburn Community spreads casino wealth to local community

The
United Auburn Indian Community
of Community has shared over $9 million with the local community since 2004, thanks to its successful gaming operation.
The
UAIC Community Giving Program
just announced $56,000 in grants for the first half of the year. Applications are being accepted for a second round of funding.
"The United Auburn Indian Community is proud to have the ability to invest in our local communities,"
Chairman Gene Whitehouse said in a press release
.
Revenues from the
Thunder Valley Casino Resort
help fund the program.
