Auburn Community spreads casino wealth to local community

The United Auburn Indian Community of Community has shared over $9 million with the local community since 2004, thanks to its successful gaming operation.

The UAIC Community Giving Program just announced $56,000 in grants for the first half of the year. Applications are being accepted for a second round of funding.

"The United Auburn Indian Community is proud to have the ability to invest in our local communities," Chairman Gene Whitehouse said in a press release.

Revenues from the Thunder Valley Casino Resort help fund the program.
