Mashantucket Tribe reports decline in slot machine revenues

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut reported a decline in slot machine revenues for the month of July.

Slot revenues at Foxwoods Resort Casino fell 4.6 percent, when compared to July 2012. Wagering fell 2.9 percent.

"Our financial results remain on target," CEO Scott C. Butera said in a press release. "The casino is performing as expected given the constant pressure of new competition, and the remainder of our operations are producing in line with expectations."

The tribe has been struggling for the past four years.
