Eastern Cherokees complete land purchase for new casino

It looks like the Eastern Band of Cherokee
Indians will start work on a second casino in North Carolina in October.
The tribe completed the purchase of the land that will be used for the $110 million casino, The Cherokee Scout reported. The deal closed on Friday, the paper said.
A temporary facility is expected within six months of groundbreaking and a permanent casino could open within 18 months.
