The
Seneca Nation is on track to open its $200 million permanent off-reservation casino in Buffalo, New York, by the end of the summer.
The tribe has been operating the
Seneca
Buffalo Creek Casino in a temporary building since 2007.
The permanent facility is about 85 percent done.
“I think it’ll transform the whole area. It’s gone from industrial to entertainment,” Kevin W. Seneca, the chairman of the Seneca Gaming Corporation, told The Buffalo News.
The casino will feature 850 slot machines, 18 table games, a casual grill and restaurant, a bar, a bakery and coffee shop and a four-story parking garage. There are no plans for a hotel at this time, an executive said.
