The
Ramona Band of Cahuilla Indians in California is getting into the tribal gaming industry.
The tribe signed a Class III gaming compact with
Gov. Jerry Brown (D) to build its first casino on the reservation.
The deal authorizes up to 750 slot machines although a facility with a smaller number of machines is expected, The Riverside Press-Enterprise reported.
A copy of the compact can be found on the
governor's website.
