Report shows commercial casinos took in $37.3B in revenue

Commercial casinos took in $37.3 billion in revenues in 2012, according to a new report from the American Gaming Association.

The $37.3 billion represented an increase of 4.8 percent from 2011. Commercial casino revenue, in fact, has grown three years in a row, the AGA said.

"As you sit down to review this report, I hope you’ll agree with me that the commercial casino industry is back," AGA President Frank Fahrenkopf said in the report.

Tribal casinos took in $27.4 billion in 2011, according to Casino City’s Indian Gaming Industry Report.
