A group called United Families Idaho is going after the Indian gaming industry on moral grounds.
Former Idaho Supreme Court Justice Robert Bakes and anti-gambling activist Mike Duff are proposing a bill that would allow the state to sue tribes with casinos.
It would also require legislative approval for any future Class III gaming compacts.
The Senate State Affairs Committee agreed to accept the group's bill but Rep. Curt McKenzie (R), the committee chairman, said he won't hold hearings on the matter.
