Mashantucket Tribe warns employees of more gaming layoffs

Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation
of Connecticut is making more layoffs at its casino, The New London Day reports.
Scott Butera, the president and CEO of
Foxwoods Resort Casino
, said specific numbers would be provided next week. But he described the layoffs as "modest."
"We don't anticipate any drop off in service. It's about streamlining and becoming more efficient," Butera told the Day.
Tribal casino revenue in Connecticut fell 2 percent in 2011, according to
Casino City’s Indian Gaming Industry Report
