Developer sues Delaware Tribe over failed casino deal in Ohio

The Delaware Tribe of Oklahoma is being sued over a failed attempt to open a casino in Ohio.

The tribe signed an agreement with River Trails for "exclusive" rights to develop a casino in Ohio. The company was paying the tribe $25,000 a month, according to a complaint filed in federal court.

The tribe and River Trails decided to focus on Kansas instead of Ohio. But the relationship soured and the company now claims the tribe must repay more than $2.6 million in development funds.

Turtle Talk has posted the complaint in the case, River Trails LLC v. Delaware Enterprise Authority.
