The
Chickasaw Nation of
Oklahoma is in court over a failed deal to buy two non-Indian casinos.
Global Gaming
Solutions, a tribal subsidiary, planned to buy
DiamondJacks casinos in
Bossier City, Louisiana, and Vicksburg, Mississippi, for $125 million.
But the tribe says current owner, Legends Gaming, failed to make investments in the facilities and wants the the company to return of a $6.25 million deposit.
"The debtors failed to invest in necessary capital expenditures, and, further, failed to invest in even the most basic maintenance capital and operating expenses," the tribe said in a court filing, the Associated Press reported.
Legends has filed for bankruptcy.
