Mashantucket casino executive reaches out to senior center

The top gaming executive for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation is mending fences with a seniors group in Connecticut.

Foxwoods CEO Scott Butera visited the Derby Senior Center, whose executive director criticized him for making comments about elderly casino patrons that were perceived as negative. The group has been boycotting the casino but it looks like their relationship is improving.

“I think this is a prime example of the saying, ‘actions speak louder than words,’” executive director Sarah Muoio told The New Haven Register.
