City works on loan to make up for Seneca Nation gaming funds

The city of Niagara Falls could receive a loan of around $10 million to make up for a loss in Seneca Nation gaming revenues, WIVB-TV reports

Details are still being worked out but the loan would help address a deficit in the city's budget. Mayor Paul Dyster is due to present the budget tomorrow.

The tribe has withheld gaming revenues from the state due to an expansion of non-Indian gaming. Niagara Falls has lost out on $60 million over the past three years.

The tribe and the state are in arbitration to resolve the dispute
