Two gaming board members for the
Seneca Nation of New York are under investigation for alleged fraud.
The audit committee of the
Seneca Gaming Corp. initiated the investigation of Cochise RedEye and Jeffrey L. Gill.
RedEye is a candidate for president and he accused his rival, Barry E. Snyder Sr., of engineering an election year stunt.
“Barry Snyder and his supporters control that audit committee,” RedEye told The Buffalo News.
Gill is a also a candidate for tribal office. He's seeking a seat on the council on a ticket with current president Robert Odawi Porter, who dismissed the gaming investigation as politically motivated.
Porter cannot run for a consecutive term due to limits in the tribal constitution
