Internet gambling bill in California doomed amid tribal dissent
Tuesday, August 28, 2012
A bill to legalize Internet poker in California appears to be dead amid tribal dissent, according to Poker News Report.
The lack of agreement prompted the
Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians
to leave the
California Nations Indian Gaming Association
. And the
California Online Poker Association
, a coalition that includes tribes, continues to oppose the inclusion of horse racing associations in the bill.
"I believe SB 1463 is now likely unofficially dead," a lobbyist told Poker News Report.
