Tuesday, August 14, 2012
The Mohegan Tribe of
Connecticut is still putting together its application for a casino in Massachusetts.
The tribe plans to bid on a casino in the western part of the state. The application to the Massachusetts Gaming
Commission requires a $400,000 non-refundable fee.
“Our intent is to submit a complete and highly competitive application to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission in accordance with the commission's regulations, guidelines and deadline. As submission of the initial application fee at this early stage is voluntary, our intent is to submit that fee when our license application is completed," the tribe said in a statement to MassLive.
The tribe wants to build the casino in the town of Palmer.
