Forest County Potawatomi Tribe starts work on new casino hotel

The Forest County Potawatomi Tribe of Wisconsin broke ground on a $150 million hotel at its casino.

The hotel will be located in front of the Potawatomi Bingo Casino in Milwaukee. It will feature 381 rooms, a spa, a restaurant, a bar/lounge and meeting space.

Construction will generate nearly 1,000 jobs. The tribe will hire 230 people for the hotel, which is expected to open in summer 2014.

The hotel itself is not on trust land.
