The
Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria and Sonoma County, California, have 90 days to negotiate a gaming agreement, The Rohnert Park Community Voice reported.
If the two sides don't reach a deal in that time, binding arbitration comes into play, an attorney for the county said. But the tribe said it wants to deal fairly with the community.
“They’ve been steadfast in their commitment," John Maier, an attorney for the tribe, said at a county meeting, the Community Voice reported.
The agreement will address the impacts of the tribe's casino. A construction date hasn't been set.
