United Auburn Indian Community: Internet gaming inevitable

Internet gaming is "inevitable," the leader of the United Auburn Indian Community said.

The tribe operates a successful casino in northern California. But with online gaming on the horizon, the tribe wants to get into the action.

"We see the legalization of Internet poker and other Internet gaming as being inevitable," Chairman David Keyser said in a press release that announced the tribe's deal with bwin.party to offer online poker.

The Auburn Community used to belong to the California Tribal Business Alliance, a small group of tribes that has opposed attempts to legalize Internet poker in California.
