Connecticut tribes reach deal for free slot machine promotion

Connecticut's two federally recognized tribes plan to offer more free slot machine promtions under a deal with Gov. Dannel P. Malloy (D).

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the Mohegan Tribe won't have to share revenues on the first 11 percent of free promotions they offer. Currently, the threshold is 5.5 percent.

The tribe say raising the threshold will allow them to compete with gaming operators in nearby states.
