Graton Rancheria leader still avoiding media over casino

Greg Sarris, the chairman of the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria in California, still isn't talking to the press about his tribe's Class III gaming compact.

Sarris has declined to comment on the tribe's casino plans since the compact was signed late last month. “You don’t talk to any of us, punk,” he reportedly told The Santa Rosa Press-Democrat.

The paper tried contacting him again and was later told by an attorney to stop calling his personal cell phone, according to a story published today.
