Michigan voters are against an off-reservation casino for the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of
Chippewa Indians, according to a poll commissioned by rival tribes.
According to the poll, 56 percent oppose off-reservation gaming. Only 26 percent support the idea.
The poll was conducted by Protect MI Vote, a coalition that includes the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe and the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians.
