City council sets vote for Sault Tribe off-reservation casino

The city council in Lansing, Michigan, will vote next Monday on the off-reservation casino proposed by the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.

Four agreements are being considered as part of the $245 million Kewadin Lansing Casino. The city council's Committee on Development and Planning advanced the four components at a meeting yesterday in preparation for a final vote.

Lansing is about 287 miles from tribal headquarters in Sault Ste. Marie.
