Tribal gaming revenue has remained steady over the last three years despite a rocky economy, according to a new report from the Legislative Audit Bureau.
Revenues were about $1.3 billion for 2009, 2010 and 2011, according to the report.
But they appeared to take a dip in 2010, when the amount that tribes shared with the state fell slightly.
However, tribes saw an increase in profits at their casinos, the report said.
Profits went from $543.4 million in 2009 to $566.7 million in 2011.
In related news, the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute released a report that said the state can't handle new casinos because the market is supposedly saturated.
At least three tribes are pursuing, or are considering, new casinos.
