The Little Traverse Bay Bands
of Odawa Indians in Michigan will create 180 jobs with a new casino, Chairman Dexter McNamara said.
The tribe plans a $26 million casino in Mackinaw City. McNamara said construction will generate 100 jobs and the casino itself will employ 80 people.
"It's a really good economic area to even think about putting a casino and it's one of the best I've ever seen around here," McNamara told UpNorthLive.
The tribe's Class III gaming compact allows two casinos. But Mackinaw City must give its approval.
