Cherokee Nation welcomes public to new $18M gaming facility

The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma welcomed visitors to its $18 million gaming facility. The Cherokee Casino in Ramona is located in an entirely new 31,000 square-foot building. The facility includes 500 electronic games, a full-service restaurant, a bar and entertainment space. "We are thrilled to open this new casino because it allows us to add nearly 100 new jobs to the area, as well as economic development opportunities for Ramona, Ochelata and Bartlesville,” Principal Chief Bill John Baker said in a press release. He said 100 percent of the new hires are Cherokee citizens. Get the Story:
