A wealthy gamble has agreed to pay the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut.
Jerome Powers, a Florida millionaire, lost $1.2 million while gambling at Mohegan Sun. He signed an agreement allowing the tribe to pursue debt collection in tribal court "and courts of the state of Connecticut," according to a March 2011 article in The New London Day.
A judge allowed the tribe to go after his assets but he continued to dispute the agreement.
He's now in talks to settle his debt and "fork over the wampum," The New York Post reported.
