The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in North Carolina debuted live card dealers on Wednesday.
The tribe's new Class III gaming compact authorized the dealers. The state will be getting a cut of the revenues in exchange for regional exclusivity.
The tribe will be hiring 500 people at Harrah's Cherokee Casino thanks to the compact.
