The Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation of North Dakota plans to offer a riverboat casino under its new Class III gaming compact.
The compact expires in December. As part of the initial negotiation meeting, the tribe asked for riverboat gaming -- something that's already included in another tribal compact.
"With the oil boom and increased economics, our customers and patrons are asking for it," Chairman Tex Hall told The Minot Daily News.
The tribe operates the 4 Bears Casino and Lodge.
