The city of Niagara Falls, New York, is still waiting on $58 million in gaming revenues from the Seneca Nation.
The money comes from the Class III gaming compact. The tribe is withholding the state's share due to an expansion of non-Indian gaming.
The dispute is going into arbitration but officials don't expect resolution any time soon.
“We don’t know if the money is going to come in,”
city council chairman Sam Fruscione told The Niagara Gazette. “We’ll see it when it gets here.”
In total, the tribe has withheld more than $400 million from the state.
