The North Carolina House gave final approval to a Class III gaming compact for the Eastern Band of Cherokee
Indians.
The House's version differs from the one that passed the Senate. So the Senate will have to vote one more time to consider the House's version.
Once that happens, the compact can be sent to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for review.
The deal authorizes live card dealers at the Harrah’s
Cherokee Casino and Resort in exchange for a share of the revenues.
