Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts has spent $300,000 on a pro-gaming group.
So far, Together for Taunton has spent $130,000 to promote the tribe's plan for a $500 million casino.
Voters will go the polls on June 9 to say whether they want to host the project.
""This election is incredibly important for our tribe and the city of Taunton," Chairman Cedric Cromwell told The Cape Cod Times. "Recognizing this importance, tribal council decided to contribute the funds necessary to provide accurate and thorough information to the residents of Taunton so they can make an informed decision on June 9th."
An opposition group, Preserve Taunton's Future, raised less than $2,000.
