After seeing defeat in one community, the Aquinnah
Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts is preparing for another election on its casino plan.
Voters in Freetown voted 3-1 against the casino. Lakeville residents go to the polls tomorrow.
"We remain hopeful that ... Lakeville will choose to be one of the towns that reaps the greatest benefits," Chairwoman Cheryl Andrews-Maltais said in a statement, The New Bedford Standard-Times reported.
The tribe has options on a 500-acre site that covers both communities.
