The Port Gamble S’Klallam
Tribe of Washington is opening the doors to its $18.5 million casino this afternoon.
The tribe built a new home for the Point Casino.
The 52,000 square-foot facility features 625 slot machines, 12 table games, a poker area, a restaurant, a deli and buffet, a sports bar and cigar lounge and a 9,400-square-foot events center.
"It's an all-new, entertaining experience compared to the old," Scott Laursen, the casino's marketing director, told The Kitsap Sun. "The old one was great, but this one is even better."
The tribe is considering adding a hotel to the facility.
