Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake ready to open casino on Friday

The Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake in California will open its casino to the public this Friday at 4pm. The 33,000 square-foot Running Creek Casino features 349 slot machines, six table games, a players’ club, a dining area and a gift shop. "The road has been long and the obstacles too numerous to count, but we are finally here, excited and proud to open the doors to the public," Chairperson Sherry Treppa said in a press release today. The tribe will host an official grand opening for the casino on June 1.
