Testimony continues today in a lawsuit aimed at stopping the Kialegee
Tribal Town in Oklahoma
According to news reports, the state called Oklahoma University professor Gary Anderson to the stand on Wednesday. He testified that the Kialegee Tribal Town is a "band" that doesn't have the same rights as a federally recognized tribe.
Congress in 1994 specifically directed the executive branch to treat all federally recognized tribes in the same manner due to claims that certain tribes fall in a different category.
News on 6 is providing Twitter updates from the hearing, which is expected to conclude tomorrow.
