The California Assembly voted 64-3 on Thursday to approve on a
Class III gaming compact for the Federated Indians of Graton
Rancheria.
The compact already cleared the Senate. Now it can be sent to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for final
review.
The tribe and its developer need to raise more than $700 million to build the casino.
Construction could start this summer.
