The Aquinnah
Wampanoag Tribe held a second public forum on plans for a casino in southeastern Massachusetts.
The meeting took place yesterday in Lakeville, following one held in Freetown the day before. Residents voiced concerns about the limited number of details about the tribe's plan on a 500-acre site on the border of both communities.
"Right now, this is all questions and no answers," David McQueeney said, The New Bedford Standard-Times reported.
At least one local leader also feels there wasn't enough information. Selectmen Chairman Lisa Pacheco of Freetown said another meeting will take place May 22.
"Unfortunately, we were hoping for something a bit more tangible, and while they did answer questions in an efficient and prudent manner, they also want to be cautious with how much information they put out there so early on." Pacheco told South Coast Today.
