The tribal gaming industry in Arizona continues to show signs of improvement.
The Arizona Department of Gaming said tribal contributions to the state for the last quarter were $24.3 million. That's a 7.4 percent increase from the same quarter last year and the seventh consecutive quarter increase.
“Tribal gaming is largely dependent on discretionary income of Arizona residents and visitors” Mark Brnovich, the director of the Arizona Department of Gaming. said in a press release “The increase in revenue
suggests that people are feeling more optimistic about Arizona’s economic recovery.”
Under the Class III gaming compact, tribes share between 1 and 8 percent of Class III net wins.
