The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut reported a 40.1 percent decline profits at its gaming enterprise.
The tribe operates a casino on its reservation in Connecticut and a commercial facility in Pennsylvania. Second quarter profits at those facilities were $15.1 million, down from $25.2 million during the same period a year ago.
While profits were down, earnings were up 6.4 percent to $85 million. And the tribe successfully refinanced $1.6 billion in gaming debt during the second quarter.
