California's Indian Gaming Special Distribution Fund will be down to just $5 million in 2013, The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports.

The fund was created when tribes signed Class III gaming compacts in 1999. At one point, nearly $200 million in tribal revenues flowed into the account.

But the fund is drying up because some of the more successful tribes signed new compacts that place gaming revenues into the state's general fund. A new gaming compact with the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria could put some more money into the account if state lawmakers approved the deal.
