The Chickasaw Nation will promote its gaming enterprise at a baseball stadium in Oklahoma City as part of a naming rights deal.
Terms weren't disclosed but the deal for the "Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark" will last several years, Venues Today reported. The tribe was the only entity willing to sponsor the stadium, an official with the Oklahoma City RedHawks said.
The tribe will host casino-related promotions at the ballpark. But criticism forced the tribe and the RedHawks to drop the original name -- "Newcastle Casino Field," a reference to the tribe's gaming facility in Newcastle, about 20 miles away.
