The United Auburn Indian
Community of California purchased a golf course near its casino.
The tribe bought Whitney Oaks Golf Club for $3.95 million. The facility will become a part of the Thunder Valley Casino family.
"Whitney Oaks rounds out the resort aspect of Thunder Valley," spokesperson Doug Elmets told The Sacramento Bee.
The course is about six miles from the casino.
