The Habematolel Pomo of
Upper Lake in California will open its first casino at the end of May.
“It’s on schedule,” Chairwoman Sherry Treppa told The Santa Rosa Press-Democrat.
The 33,000 square-foot Running Creek Casino features 349 slot machines, six table games, a players’ club, a dining area and a gift shop. It will generate about $20 million a year in gross revenues, Treppa told the paper.
The tribe is spending $30 million on the facility. Financing is bring provided by Luna Entertainment.
