The city council in Spokane, Washington, delayed a vote on a resolution that opposes the Spokane Tribe
off-reservation casino.
Council member Mike Fagan introduced the resolution and wanted the public notice requirements to be suspended. But there appeared to be little support for a speedy vote.
So the resolution will be considered at the council's March 26 session.
It calls on the Bureau of Indian Affairs to reject the environmental impact statement for the casino.
