Officials in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, knew about the Kialegee Tribal Town casino as far back as June 2011, according to newly released documents.
An e-mail to the city's economic development director dated June 27, 2011, gives the first indication of the project. A few days later, city councilors were told about a "casino development."
City officials previously said they weren't aware of the casino until December 2011 and January of this year.
