The Sokaogon Chippewa Community is moving forward with an off-reservation casino in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
The tribe has 180 days to reach a development agreement with the city and the owners of the Blue Harbor Resort. The deal would require approval of the off-reservation casino by 2015.
The tribe's headquarters are about 165 miles from the Blue Harbor Resort.
But Chairman Garland McGeshick said the tribe has ancestral ties to Sheboygan.
