The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts is still looking for casino sites, Chairman Cedric Cromwell said.
In a post on the tribe's website, Cromwell said the potential locations are being kept confidential to ensure "the price of the land does not become artificially high once rumors get out about us showing interest."
"We hope to bring news of the final site selection to the Tribe in the very near future," the chairman said.
The tribe is looking at locations in southeastern Massachusetts, its homeland. Two prior sites fell through while the tribe was following the land-into-trust process.
