An independent poll shows support for the off-reservation casino sought by the Spokane Tribe of Washington.
According to Strategic Research Associates, 40 percent of Spokane County residents "strongly favored" or "mildly favored" the casino.
Another 34 percent said they were "strongly opposed" or "mildly opposed" to it while 25 percent were "neutral."
The tribe is seeking federal and state approval to build a casino in Airway Heights.
